Reality Overload

Literally Soon to Come

So, if logic is applied in the AI7 end result who do you think would win? No doubt it’s gonna be David Cook since he has been the most “creative” one. Although there are folks saying he hasn’t really been original since most of the songs he covered are not-so-commercial versions of other artists. Like Chris Cornell’s Billy Jean or what was purported to be Incubus’ version of Hello. But no one could doubt he did something with Mariah’s Always be my Baby. That was original. He could be the next Daughtry if he goes into that genre and not stick to the “pure rock” state. Daughtry had to sell out some of his beliefs when he joined the commercial pack. I think if David’s smart he’ll do the same. I like hearing his songs in free radio. I don’t need to cough out dough to buy his CDs. Although at some point I might do that to. I have a little crush on him too. Hehe.

On the other hand little David Archuleta is also showing a lot of potential. His voice works for him. He’s just too Disney for me. I wonder what his packaging would be after Idol. Since he’s too mousy to be the next High School Musical hero, I think he’ll do big in Pixar cartoon movies. But that’s kinda limited. I’ll have to think about that some more. Haha!

Sayesha Mercado was a surprise. I‘m always grinding my teeth with her song choice. As Danny would say, TMTH. She’s been doing diva stuff and trying too hard. Sometimes I’m afraid she’s gonna break her vocal chords or something. For all it’s worth she is working hard. Since she’s an actress, Broadway might be her ticket. She did good during biatchy Lloyd Webber night. (I lurved him btw.)

Oh well, we’ll know in two weeks.

I hated seeing Jason Castro go. He really turned on the goof factor this week. He is so much fun to watch. I knew at some point he would do a Marley song. He looks like he lives and breathes it. I wonder what he’ll look like without the dreds? He has really nice eyes. And his skin could get him endorsements from the cosmetic industry. Next stop, Make me a Supermodel? Hmmm…..

Speaking of Make me a Supermodel, I had a blast watching the last eppie in ETC. I know our shows are about a year late and I made the mistake of telling Ron about Ben, so he went online and I found out who won. Bummer. But the last eppie in ETC where Perry licked Casey in a shoot was hilarious. By now everybody knows I love seeing straight guys portray gay characters. (Ultimately, everyone’s gay anyway. Hahaha!)

Pushing_Daisies.jpg

On a completely 360 degree turn, I broke my reality TV addiction by watching the premier episode of Pushing Daisies last Tuesday in ETC. I’ve always had a bit of a crush with the girl playing the lead. I think she’s adorable. And the guy’s not half bad. He fits the nerdy-shy type. I’m almost afraid to look the show up and find out that it’s been cancelled after the first season. That’ll piss me off.

So that’s my TV addiction in a nutshell. Being Lead Trainer has finally eliminated any life I can have and I now live it vicariously through others. When I start blogging about Parental Control and Date my Mom, kill me please. I’m sure God’ll forgive you.
